Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
This role accelerates business value by being responsible for assisting in delivery/installation and repair/service of merchandisers.
Demonstrates our “True North” attributes: voice of the customer, respect for the individual, no nonsense communication and utilization of facts, servant leadership and has a continuous improvement mindset in every facet of leadership and daily interaction. Leads, collaborates and demonstrates the lean principles and utilizes the lean methodologies and tools to facilitate continuous process improvements and value creation for our customers, employees and shareholders. Actively utilizes lean tools (VSM, Kaizen, A3, etc.) to inform and assess business opportunities to drive continuous improvement. Lead and participate in Kaizen and value stream mapping activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain appearance and upkeep of ice merchandisers.
2. Assist in delivery and installation of ice merchandisers.
3. Report any parts or items needed to Maintenance Technician.
4. Assist in service and repair of units.
5. Pick up parts and supplies as requested.
6. Report any comments or complaints from customers.
7. Call Supervisor if product is out of stock.
8. Complete all necessary paperwork in a neat, accurate, and timely manner.
9. Keep refrigeration repair area neat and clean.
10. Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.

CONTACTS:
Internal: Works daily with Maintenance Technician and other Maintenance Technician Assistants
External: Interact with store personnel and outside contact when picking up parts
OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for performing services required in correct manner and completing work on timely basis so merchandisers have as little down time as possible.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma with ability to complete paperwork. Experience in refrigeration/electrical repair preferred. Must be able to operate forklift; have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work environment varies from in customer’s facility to plant repair shop. Exposure to travel hazards to and from accounts; electrical and mechanical equipment; possible use of paint. Some heavy lifting, pushing and pulling required; units on top of box approximately 150 lbs. and must be able to move merchandisers with proper equipment (700 – 800 lbs). Good manual dexterity required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
