We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer III (Backend) who can design and build highly scalable systems while driving engineering excellence across teams.
🧩 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗼
Lead architecture and design of large-scale backend systems and platform services.
Drive technical decision-making, design reviews and architecture discussions.
Define engineering standards, best practices and coding guidelines across teams.
Identify and resolve scalability, reliability and performance bottlenecks proactively.
Own technical roadmaps for critical systems and services.
Design, build, and maintain highly scalable, secure and fault-tolerant backend services.
Optimise system performance, latency, throughput, and infrastructure efficiency.
Lead implementation of mission-critical projects from conception to production.

5 - 10 years of professional software engineering experience building backend systems in a startup
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from a tier-1 institute (or equivalent experience).
Experience working in fast-growing startups or consumer internet companies is highly preferred.
Proficiency in building scalable services using Node.js and/or Python; language-agnostic mindset preferred.
Expertise in designing RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.
Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar event-streaming platforms.
