Product Consultant- Islamic Lending

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Product Consultant -Islamic Lending expert to drive the Shariah-compliant lending solutions across Loan Origination and Loan Management platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Islamic finance principles, digital lending products, and end-to-end lending lifecycle management.
The role requires close collaboration with business, technology, risk, compliance, and engineering teams to build scalable fintech products that meet regulatory requirements and deliver seamless customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Origination System (LOS)
Design and deliver DIY (Do-It-Yourself) digital customer journeys enabling customers to independently complete the entire financing application process through web and mobile channels.
Define Straight Through Processing (STP) journeys to maximize automation, minimize manual intervention, and improve approval turnaround times.
Design configurable eligibility, verification, underwriting, and approval workflows to achieve high STP rates while maintaining Shariah and regulatory compliance.
Define digital onboarding capabilities, including eKYC, OCR, document verification, biometric authentication, digital signatures, and consent management.
Design omnichannel customer journeys across branch, relationship manager, web, mobile, and partner ecosystems.
Product Strategy & Execution
Define an API-first product strategy to enable seamless integration with banks, fintechs, marketplaces, payment platforms, credit bureaus, digital identity providers, and other ecosystem partners.
Drive the adoption of configurable product capabilities using business rules, workflow engines, decision engines, and low-code/no-code configuration wherever applicable.
Design reusable product capabilities supporting cloud-native, microservices-based, and event-driven architectures. Define product capabilities for embedded finance and ecosystem-led lending.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with enterprise architecture, integration, and technology teams to define API standards, integration patterns, security, and interoperability across the lending ecosystem.
Strong understanding of DIY (Do-It-Yourself) digital lending journeys and customer self-service experiences.
Hands-on experience designing Straight Through Processing (STP) lending journeys with high automation.
Experience defining configurable business rules, workflow engines, decision engines, and process orchestration.
Strong understanding of API-first architecture, REST APIs, Open APIs, and API lifecycle management.
Experience working with API gateways, integration platforms, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Knowledge of digital onboarding technologies including eKYC, OCR, digital signatures, biometric verification, consent management, and fraud controls.
Experience designing omnichannel customer experiences across web, mobile, branch, and partner channels.
Understanding of embedded finance, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), and fintech ecosystem integrations.
Experience working with configurable product platforms supporting low-code/no-code implementations.

Requirements
Experience in PMG / Product Management / Platform Management / Mobility / Low-Code No-Code platforms.
Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, roadmap ownership, backlog prioritization, release planning, and stakeholder governance.
Ability to work with engineering teams on APIs, integrations, architecture, security, scalability, and release readiness.
Understanding of configurable workflows, reusable components, digital journeys, and enterprise platform products.
Ability to connect platform capabilities with measurable business outcomes, adoption value, and ROI.
Strong stakeholder management, documentation, workshop facilitation, and execution skills.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and bringing structure to early-stage platform initiatives.
Exposure to Flutter, Android/iOS, web journeys, mobility platforms, workflow engines, API-led architecture, or customer journey orchestration.
Experience in productizing internal frameworks or engineering-led tools into scalable product platforms.
Experience in defining platform business cases, adoption metrics, cost-benefit analysis, or productivity improvement measures.
Completed ownership transition.
Approved capability document, WBS, roadmap, and GA 9.0 alignment plan.
Defined readiness roadmap across Android, iOS, web, security, performance, and enterprise.
