Role Overview
As a Patient Escort, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and efficient transport of patients within Crittenton Hospital Medical Center (CHMC). You¿ll support patients during their hospital journey, contributing to a positive and professional atmosphere while upholding the mission and vision of CHMC.

What You Will Do
Maintain a positive and professional atmosphere for patients, demonstrating interpersonal skills to interact effectively with those under physical or emotional stress.
Transport patients safely by wheelchair, stretcher, bed, or ambulatory means to and from areas throughout the hospital for testing, treatment, and transfers.
Ensure patient safety by using proper lifting techniques and applying body mechanics principles.
Clean and maintain transportation equipment daily to prevent injuries.
Deliver specimens, blood products, patient charts, and other materials to hospital departments.
Promote guest relations by anticipating and responding to needs with courtesy, respect, and confidentiality.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Successful completion of the Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support class at time of hire/transfer.
