We are looking for skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitters to join our growing operations team and help deliver increasing customer demand. What you'll be doing:
As a Mechanical Fitter, you'll play a key role in the balancing, assembly, testing and delivery of world-class turbochargers.
You'll gain exposure to multiple manufacturing, testing and engineering activities including:
- Turbocharger assembly
- Dynamic rotor balancing
- Development and Production testing
- Measurement using calibrated equipment
- Continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting service engineering activities
- Opportunities for UK and international travel (experience dependant.)
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
Experience:
Desirable but not essential:
- A minimum of four years' relevant industrial engineering experience
- Experience of rotating equipment, engines, turbochargers or similar mechanical assemblies
- Dynamic balancing experience
- Turbocharger testing and commissioning experience
Skills
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using a range of calibrated measuring equipment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A self-motivated approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute towards departmental objectives
- A flexible attitude towards shift patterns and overtime when required
