Overview
A fast-growing technology company is looking for a Technical Product Manager to support the continued development and growth of its EV charging and smart energy solutions across the Benelux region.
This is a technically focused product role sitting at the intersection of product, engineering, customers and the local market. You will help ensure products and solutions are technically suitable, compliant and commercially relevant for the Netherlands, Belgium and the wider Benelux market.
A key part of the role will be understanding the regulatory, legislative and technical requirements affecting EV charging across Benelux, identifying how these requirements impact the product offering and working closely with product and engineering teams to ensure solutions meet local market needs.
You will act as a key link between the Benelux market and the wider product organisation — gathering insight from customers, partners and industry developments and translating this into clear product requirements and priorities.
The position would suit someone from a technical product management, EV charging, eMobility, energy technology, solutions engineering or technical product specialist background who combines strong technical understanding with knowledge of the Benelux EV charging market.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a technical product specialist for the Benelux market, with a strong understanding of EV charging, connected hardware and smart energy solutions.
Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of EV charging legislation, regulation, standards and technical requirements across the Netherlands, Belgium and wider Benelux region.
Assess how changes in legislation, regulation and market requirements may impact existing and future products.
Translate local regulatory, technical, customer and market requirements into clear product requirements for product and engineering teams.
Support the localisation and development of products to ensure they are appropriate for different Benelux markets.
Gather structured feedback from customers, installers, partners and commercial teams and feed this into product development and prioritisation.
Work closely with central product and engineering teams to communicate Benelux-specific requirements, challenges and opportunities.
Support product launches and the introduction of new functionality, hardware and services within the region.
Develop a strong understanding of the EV charging ecosystem, including charge point operators, installers, utilities, energy providers, hardware manufacturers and technology partners.
Monitor competitor products, market developments and emerging technologies across EV charging and smart energy.
Provide technical product expertise to commercial teams during complex customer and partner discussions where required.
Support technical documentation, product specifications, installation requirements and product-related customer queries.
Help ensure internal teams and external partners understand product capabilities, technical requirements and relevant regulatory considerations.
Build strong relationships with customers, partners and other stakeholders to understand how products perform in real-world applications.
What We're Looking For
Experience in product management, technical product management, product engineering, eMobility, EV charging, energy technology or a closely related technical role.
Strong understanding of EV charging hardware, connected products, energy technology or smart energy solutions.
Knowledge of the Benelux EV charging market, ideally covering both the Netherlands and Belgium.
Strong knowledge of, or demonstrable experience working with, relevant EV charging legislation, regulation, standards and technical requirements within Benelux.
Ability to understand regulatory and technical requirements and translate these into practical product requirements.
Experience working closely with engineering, product, commercial and customer-facing teams.
Comfortable gathering customer and market feedback and using this to influence product development and priorities.
Strong technical communication skills with the ability to explain complex product requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Commercial awareness and an understanding of how product decisions affect customers, partners and market adoption.
Experience with EV charging protocols, connectivity, energy management, load balancing or smart charging would be advantageous.
Fluent Dutch and English are essential; French is highly desirable.
Based in, or able to commute regularly to, Zwolle or Brussels.
This role would particularly suit someone who understands not only how EV charging technology works, but also what a product needs to do to operate successfully and compliantly within the Benelux market.

Gestructureerde feedback verzamelen van klanten, installateurs, partners en commerciële teams en deze vertalen naar productontwikkeling en prioriteiten.
Nauw samenwerken met centrale product- en engineeringteams om specifieke Benelux-vereisten, uitdagingen en kansen te communiceren.
Ondersteunen bij productlanceringen en de introductie van nieuwe functionaliteiten, hardware en diensten binnen de regio.
Een sterk inzicht ontwikkelen in het ecosysteem voor EV-laden, waaronder CPO's, installateurs, nutsbedrijven, energieleveranciers, hardwarefabrikanten en technologiepartners.
