Riverty is hiring a Software Engineer (Risk Platform) (m/f/d) to join the team based in Tallinn or Berlin. Riverty is part of the Bertelsmann group and has an international workforce of about 4,000 people across 12 countries, representing almost 80 nationalities. The company operates 30 hybrid workspaces and focuses on combining empathy, advanced technology and data driven insights to support flexible payments for businesses and consumers. This is an unlimited full time role at a mid senior level working on the risk platform.
What you will do
• Design, build, test and deliver maintainable software, APIs and related workflows for the risk platform
• Propose and contribute to technical architecture decisions and document design choices
• Participate in regular scrum activities as a member of an agile cross functional team
• Translate business requirements into implemented features while keeping clear system documentation
• Introduce and apply engineering best practices to improve code quality and system architecture
• Support and influence the engineering culture by adopting and giving feedback on organizational and technical standards
What you bring
• Hands on experience with C# and the .NET framework, with at least 5 years of professional experience
• Track record of developing, releasing and maintaining cloud based applications
• Experience with microservices and distributed system architectures
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design
• Experience with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server
• Working knowledge of object relational mappers, preferably Entity Framework
• Familiarity with cloud development, with Azure experience considered a plus
• Experience with messaging systems used in distributed systems for example RabbitMQ, MassTransit or Kafka
• Proficiency with container tooling such as Docker
• Experience using Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools for example NewRelic
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Experience in the FinTech or banking sector is a plus
