Role Description The Branch Product Head Gold Loan is a full-time, on-site role based at the Howrah branch, responsible for driving the gold loan product portfolio and branch-level business performance. This role involves overseeing daily operations of gold loan services, including customer acquisition, loan processing, documentation verification, and adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidelines. The individual will monitor branch targets, analyze portfolio performance, and implement product strategies to increase penetration, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include conducting local market assessments, guiding the branch team on gold loan features and positioning, and coordinating with regional product and credit teams for smooth execution. The role also includes mentoring staff, ensuring compliance with risk and security protocols for pledged gold, resolving customer issues promptly, and supporting branch-level marketing and promotional activities.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Product Strategy and Product Management skills to drive gold loan growth and optimize product performance at the branch level.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Market Research capabilities to assess branch performance, understand local customer needs, and identify business opportunities.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact with customers, guide branch teams, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
Candidates should preferably have experience in retail lending, gold loans, or banking/NBFC operations, with knowledge of credit, risk, and regulatory requirements.
Candidates should demonstrate leadership qualities, team management experience, and the ability to work with clear targets and timelines.
A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, commerce, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications in finance or lending will be an added advantage.
Candidates should be comfortable working on-site in Howrah, with proficiency in local language and basic computer skills (MS Office, branch systems).
