Role Description The Electrical Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata, responsible for maintaining and optimizing electrical systems across the facility. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment, as well as supporting safe and uninterrupted power supply for production operations. The role involves assisting in electrical design and installation of new systems or upgrades, coordinating with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime, and ensuring compliance with relevant electrical and safety standards. The Electrical Specialist will document maintenance activities, monitor energy usage, and recommend improvements that enhance reliability and efficiency of plant operations.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of electricity principles and safe handling of electrical systems.
Proficiency in electrical design and practical implementation of electrical layouts and circuits.
Background in electrical engineering, including analysis and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems.
Experience with power generation and distribution in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience working with electrical equipment such as motors, control panels, switchgear, and PLC-based systems.
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
Familiarity with relevant safety standards and local electrical regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively on-site.
Previous experience in manufacturing or extrusion plants is an advantage.
