Screenwriter & Creative Lead

Hexcoded is building an AI-native entertainment platform where audience demand drives the next generation of films and series. We combine AI production with audience data to test more stories, identify potential hits earlier, and scale them into original IPs. Every release builds three assets: our audience, our understanding of their tastes, and our library of owned IP.
What you'll do:
Turn concepts, references, or rough ideas into story outlines and screenplays.
Develop memorable characters, clear motivations, meaningful conflict, natural dialogue, and satisfying payoffs.
Write strong hooks, scenes, trailers, and episode endings that make audiences want to continue watching.
Help identify who a story is for and why it will appeal to that audience.
Translate scripts into scene breakdowns, visual references, shot intentions, performance notes, and sound or music ideas.
Collaborate with the AI filmmaker/editor on what can be executed effectively.
Review generated scenes and rough cuts, giving clear feedback on continuity, pacing, performances, sound, and emotional impact.
Revise scripts and creative plans based on feedback and audience response.
What we're looking for:
A strong narrative writer with screenplay samples or completed narrative work.
Someone who understands character, conflict, dialogue, pacing, and emotional progression.
Strong creative judgment across storytelling, visuals, editing, sound, and music.
A thoughtful understanding of audiences and what keeps people watching.
Someone who watches and studies strong films and series and can explain why particular creative choices work.
Strong written English and an understanding of content for US or international English-speaking audiences.
A collaborative and reliable person who is comfortable receiving feedback and revising their work.
