The goal of the team is to build upon a robust platform in support of hosting databases both in the private cloud environment as well as multiple public clouds.
Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
8+ years of database administration experience preferably in PostgreSQL, Couchbase, Mongo and Cassandra
4+ years of development experience in programming in Python, Terraform.
Experienced in system configuration using Ansible
5+ years of Linux Administration Experience.
Hands on experience deploying various Public cloud services related to Network, Security, Compute and Database services
Experience in coding terraform modules with various providers
Experience with Container and Orchestration Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift is a plus.
Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges and articulate solutions
Willingness to learn new technologies and use them to their optimal potential
Provide Oncall support on rotation basis

Own the technical design, development, implementation, and support of on-premises and public cloud database platforms.
Lead hands-on architecture, design, and engineering of scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available database solutions.
Analyze complex system architectures to proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
Design and implement solutions that enable, modernize, and enhance enterprise database platform capabilities.
Partner with Product Owners and engineering teams to understand requirements, evaluate upcoming features, and ensure effective technical design and implementation.
Leverage cloud-native and emerging technologies to drive platform modernization, automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Evaluate existing platform implementations and dependencies and drive continuous improvements in performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
Apply a strong understanding of network, compute, and storage topologies to define optimal platform architectures.
Provide production support on a rotational basis, troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring platform stability and availability.
Promote engineering best practices, automation, and continuous improvement across the database platform lifecycle.
