About the Role
We’re looking for a React Native Engineer to build and scale the mobile experience for an AI-powered financial platform.
Our AI agent interacts with banks, lenders, and credit bureaus simultaneously for thousands of users. As a React Native Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building the mobile architecture that makes these real-time, AI-driven experiences reliable, fast, and scalable.
You’ll work on real-time communication, offline-first data architecture, AI-native chat interfaces, and high-performance mobile experiences used by a growing user base.
What You’ll Do
Build and enhance the React Native mobile application following established architecture and UI/UX specifications.
Design and implement a real-time communication layer supporting WebSockets, HTTP polling, and future push-notification channels.
Build scalable offline-first data architecture, including local storage, synchronization, conflict resolution, and schema migrations.
Develop AI-native chat experiences supporting streaming responses and multiple message types.
Build extensible UI infrastructure for:
Text messages
Rich cards
Suggestions
Documents
Payment CTAs
Score visualizations
Proactive AI nudges
Implement robust state management across network, WebSocket, and local database states.
Optimize application performance, particularly on Android, including FlatList optimization, memory usage, and Hermes.
Handle mobile-specific scenarios such as:
Background/foreground transitions
Network interruptions
Token refresh
Connection recovery
Error handling and graceful degradation
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and documented code.
Collaborate closely with backend, AI/ML, product, and UI/UX teams to deliver scalable mobile experiences.
Must-Have Skills
3+ years of hands-on React Native development experience
Proven experience shipping production applications to both Google Play Store and Apple App Store
Strong TypeScript proficiency
Strong experience with WebSockets, including:
Connection lifecycle management
Reconnection strategies
Event-driven message handling
Experience with local data persistence using SQLite, WatermelonDB, or similar technologies
Understanding of:
Schema migrations
Offline-first architecture
Data synchronization
Conflict resolution
Strong experience with Redux or equivalent state-management frameworks
Experience managing complex asynchronous states without race conditions
Strong understanding of Android performance optimization
Experience with:
FlatList optimization
Memory profiling
Hermes
Experience building dynamic/polymorphic UI components from a common data stream
Good to Have
Experience building AI/LLM-powered applications
Experience with AI chat interfaces or conversational products
Experience with streaming AI responses
Push notifications and background processing
Experience with financial, fintech, lending, or banking applications
Experience designing high-scale consumer mobile applications
Familiarity with event-driven architectures
Experience with payment-related workflows and interactive mobile components
What You’ll Build
You’ll help build the mobile experience for Dhruva, an AI-powered agent designed to interact with financial ecosystems and assist users through conversational experiences.
