MissionHires is seeking a Swiss CNC Applications Engineer on behalf of a company. This role supports pre-sale and post-sale customer projects involving Swiss-style CNC equipment, including turnkey project delivery, machine demonstrations, process development, customer training, and onsite engineering assistance. The ideal candidate brings hands-on sliding headstock CNC experience, strong technical judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
The company has a total of 5 Swiss CNC AE roles, all offering relocation assistance! Locations include: Philadelphia, PA; Fullerton, CA; Minneapolis, MN; and Hartford, CT!
How You'll Contribute
Lead turnkey projects, customer demonstrations, and related engineering initiatives, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
Conduct pre-sale activities, including customer visits, opportunity evaluations, machine assessments, and equipment recommendations.
Develop part-processing recommendations and turnkey proposals based on customer requirements.
Create and implement custom machine demonstrations for prospective and existing customers.
Train customers on the safe setup and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss-style lathes, and multitasking machines.
Provide onsite customer training and engineering support as needed.
Prepare accurate cost estimates, engineering reports, and technical documentation.
Interpret engineering plans, specifications, and customer part requirements.
Maintain current, in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and represented product lines.
What Makes You a Great Fit
Experience in engineering and manufacturing environments involving sliding headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tools.
Working knowledge of Fanuc-based CNC controls.
Ability to evaluate machining opportunities, assess technical requirements, and make sound recommendations.
Ability to think quickly, assess situations effectively, and make sound decisions.
Strong customer-facing communication and training skills.
Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites for training and engineering assistance.
Experience with 5-axis machining is a plus.
Experience with CAD/CAM software is preferred but not required.
5 years experience with SWISS preferred.
