Please note: This is not a hands-on engineering or development role. We’re looking for an Investment Data Solution Architect who brings deep investment data domain expertise and experience implementing enterprise data management and mastering solutions within asset management environments. The ideal candidate understands technical architecture but has spent significant time partnering with investment data management and business teams to design and implement security master, reference data, and related investment data workflows.

Role and Responsibilities
Partner directly with investment data management, investment operations, accounting, and technology teams to design and implement business workflows for enterprise investment data and mastering solutions.
Advise clients on security master and reference data implementations, including mastering processes, data sourcing, pricing, data quality, reconciliation, exception management, governance, and operational controls.
Lead business and solution design for implementations of investment data and Enterprise Data Management (EDM) platforms such as GoldenSource, NeoXam, Eagle EDM, Aladdin Data Cloud, Clearwater, SimCorp, and related ecosystems.
Translate investment data business requirements into target-state workflows, data models, data flows, operating models, governance frameworks, and functional solution designs.
Design scalable investment data solutions supporting front-, middle-, and back-office workflows across security master, reference data, pricing, positions, transactions, accounting, performance, and reporting domains.
Assess current-state investment data processes and identify opportunities to redesign workflows, controls, and operating models to better leverage modern data platforms and cloud technology.
Understand and advise on the technical architecture supporting investment data solutions, including integrations, cloud environments, data platforms, and downstream systems, while partnering with technical architects and engineering teams responsible for hands-on development.
Act as the strategic bridge between client business teams, investment operations, data management teams, architects, developers, vendors, and implementation partners.
Facilitate discovery sessions, business process workshops, and solution design discussions with business and technology stakeholders.
Design and document business requirements, functional specifications, data flows, mappings, lineage, mastering logic, and transformation requirements across investment data platforms.
Lead or advise on enterprise data migrations, platform rationalization initiatives, and target-state investment data architecture and operating models.
Advise clients on how modern cloud and data architectures can best support investment data workflows, governance, analytics, and operating models.
Provide functional and architectural guidance to implementation and delivery teams throughout complex investment data transformation programs.
Support proposal development, client solutioning discussions, and continued growth of Cutter’s investment data consulting capabilities.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience within investment management, investment data management, investment operations, investment accounting, or investment data consulting.
Deep understanding of investment management workflows across front-, middle-, and back-office functions and how investment data supports those processes.
Significant experience implementing investment data management, Enterprise Data Management (EDM), and/or data mastering platforms, with direct involvement partnering with business and data management teams.
Strong functional experience with security master and/or reference data mastering implementations, including understanding of mastering rules, data sourcing, data quality, exception management, reconciliation, governance, and downstream data consumption.
Experience designing investment data models, integrations, migrations, and target-state operating models.
Experience working directly with investment data operations teams and business stakeholders to design scalable investment data workflows and controls.
Experience supporting reporting, visualization, and downstream analytics platforms, including Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct implementation experience with one or more investment data platforms such as GoldenSource, NeoXam, Eagle EDM, Aladdin Data Cloud, Clearwater, SimCorp, or comparable investment data/mastering solutions.
Experience within consulting organizations, investment managers, asset owners, or large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
Familiarity with modern cloud and data architectures, including Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar ecosystems, sufficient to partner effectively with technical architecture and engineering teams; hands-on engineering experience is not required.

Compensation Range: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $220,000 annually, plus 12-15% bonus. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including candidate experience, skillset, geographic location, market data, internal equity, and overall alignment to the role and level.
