Job Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
Maintains ownershipofand manages contract process to ensuretimelydelivery andexecutionconsistentwith standardcycletimes,including but not limited to,the coordination and finalization of the contractual instrument and budgetto align withdefined scope of work.
Negotiates and prepares contracts,budgetsand related documents for participation in clinical trials.Analyzes andvalidatescontractand budgetarychangesand providesappropriate commentaryto Project Managers and Customer to support the overall budget value.Proactively communicates budgetary issues to internal parties, escalates deviations todepartmentleadershipand staysengaged in communicationsuntilissues are resolved.
Drives quarterly revenue targets through active workload management and prioritizationand setting of plans for delivery and execution.Contributes to team effortand takes self-initiative toaccomplishindividual targets that align with quarterly departmental goals.
Develops Customer relationships and works independently with Project Managers and Customer on assigned projects.Attendsface-to-face meetings or calls with Project Managers and Customers as needed to ensuretimelyexecution of contract.
Updatesand maintainstimely records inCustomer Relationship Management (CRM)system and Contract Management Systembased onGlobal Deal and Contracts Management (GDCM)processesthroughout the day on a daily basis.
Worksconsistentlywithin the department’s metrics/timelines for completion of documents.
Follows allGDCMreview processes and strives to consistently deliver a quality product to both internal and external Customers.Evaluates contracts for completeness and accuracy bycomparing todepartment guidelines todetermineadherence and ensures that corrections are appropriately made and documentedto ensure the highest quality document is always delivered.
Maintainsa high levelof flexibility.Creates and resets priorities as the need arises.Identifiesand raises issues before they becomecritical, andadjusts quickly to the changes of a dynamic organization.
Additional Qualifications
BA/BS degree in a Business Administration or Finance with a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience, preferably in budgeting, finance, proposal development and/or contracts management within a clinical research/pharmaceutical environment; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Must be customer-centric, self-motivated and proactive.Flexibility in responding to job demands.
Have excellent problem-solving skills and above average attention to detail.
Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously, to meet critical deadlines and possess strong analytical skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and an understanding of costing models.
Ability to prepare and interpret budgets.
Ability to work successfully in a team environment and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and manager.
Demonstrates effective time management skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with management guidance and oversight.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates a positive and flexible attitude toward new and/or unconventional work assignments.
Ability to consistently perform and deliver a high-quality work product. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Knowledge of clinical trial proposal process and budget management.
Professional ability to interact with individuals at all levels and different personalities.
Proficiency in mathematics and ability to work with budgets.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.

Summary
Owns and manages the contracts and change order process and works proactively with Project Leads and Business Development in the development and execution of contract documents with a primary focus on customer satisfaction. Drives revenue targets and departmental goals through active workload management and prioritization. Identifies project and/or individual contract-related risks and provides swift resolution to ensure timely execution of contracts and change orders.
