Director, Men's Merchandising

We are seeking a Director of Men’s Merchandising, Bottoms to lead the development and execution of the men’s bottoms assortment. This individual will be responsible for bringing the brand’s product strategy to life while identifying new growth opportunities across the category. The role will help define the architecture of the men’s bottoms line and lead the development of category-level growth plans. Working in close partnership with Design, Planning, Marketing, and channel leaders, this person will support the brand’s strategic initiatives and long-term growth goals. To be successful, the ideal candidate must be an experienced product and people leader with a passion for the performance apparel space, Vuori’s mission, and embodying the brand’s values.
What you'll get to do:
Develop comprehensive assortment strategies across E-commerce and Retail, identifying new product opportunities to deliver high-growth expectations.
Partner with the Sr. Director of Merchandising on the creation of a long-range product roadmap to achieve long-term brand goals.
Lead the creation and execution of the seasonal line plan for the Men’s Bottoms category.
Partner with the Planning team on the seasonal investment strategy and a highly responsive inventory pipeline.
Guide the Men’s Bottoms team through the creation and management of all seasonal assortment architecture tools.
Participate in weekly fittings, maintaining ultimate responsibility for final style adoption and execution.
Partner with Planning to analyze in-season product performance, building data-driven action plans based on real-time results.
Uphold premium brand price positioning and manage the global pricing strategy for Men’s Bottoms.
Own product-level IMU and gross margin targets to maximize category profitability.
Lead, mentor, and actively develop the Men’s Bottoms Merchandising team to foster a high-performance culture.
Build the seasonal product messaging plan to support Marketing by effectively communicating key seasonal product stories.
Create comprehensive seasonal product knowledge tools to educate and support store associates and website teams.
Maintain a continuous understanding of the competitive landscape, imparting key market and trend insights directly into line development.
Act as a critical cross-departmental liaison, creating a transparent, consistent flow of communication throughout the entire organization.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience preferred
10+ years of apparel merchandising experience
Experience delivering high growth at the brand or category level
Strong understanding of the Men’s apparel market and trends
Strong eye for relevant and trend right product that aligns with brand aesthetic
Experience managing people or direct reports
Ability to travel domestically
Strong communication skills
Proficient in Excel, Adobe Illustrator, PLM experience a plus
