Who we are
1DS Collective is a media, management, and agency company working with some of the most recognizable names in health, wellness, and performance. We move fast, we ship a lot, and we care about how things look. Our design work touches everything from social feeds with millions of followers to brand campaigns to internal decks.
Who we're looking for
We're not looking for a graphic designer. We're looking for a designer who thinks like a creative director, someone who can execute at speed but also push back on a brief when it's not the right idea.
You're the kind of person who:
Has a portfolio that makes people stop scrolling. Not templated. Not "clean and minimal" as a personality. Distinctive.
Sees a Canva template and knows exactly why it's not good enough.
Can hold your own in a brand conversation, not just take orders.
Gets bored doing the same thing twice and finds a way to make version two better.
Can go from Figma to After Effects to Photoshop without breaking stride.
What you'll actually do
Design across the full range: social graphics, thumbnails, campaign assets, pitch decks, one-pagers, brand identity work, motion graphics, video overlays.
Own the visual language across multiple client brands, each with their own voice.
Work directly with our founders, account managers, and video team. Small team, direct communication, no design-by-committee.
Turn strategy conversations into visual concepts, not just execute finished briefs.
Push our creative bar higher. If our work looks like everyone else's, you've failed.
What we're looking for in a portfolio
Show us:
One project you're genuinely proud of and why.
One project that failed or you'd redo and what you learned.
Range: static, motion, brand, campaign. We want to see how you think, not just how you polish.
We're less interested in where you've worked and more interested in what you've made. A great portfolio from a solo freelancer beats a mediocre one from a big agency, every time.
