We're hiring: Senior Merchant – Hard Goods & Textiles | Noida (Delhi NCR)
Merchandise Corporation is a buying and sourcing agency with 20+ years of experience, partnering with American and European buyers across home textiles, furniture, décor, and tools.
We're looking for a senior merchant to own key buyer accounts end-to-end, from product development through to shipment, across both hard goods and textiles.
What you'll do:
🔹 Manage key US and European buyer accounts as the main point of contact
🔹 Lead product development, sampling, and costing across hard goods (furniture, décor, metal, wood, tools) and home textiles
🔹 Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors while protecting buyer margins
🔹 Identify, evaluate, and onboard new manufacturers across India
🔹 Oversee production timelines, flag risks early, and keep orders on track
🔹 Work closely with the QC team on inspections, approvals, and quality issues
🔹 Guide and support junior merchandisers
What we're looking for:
✔️ 6–10 years of merchandising experience at a buying house or export house
✔️ Hands-on experience in both hard goods and textiles (strong in one, working knowledge of the other)
✔️ Proven track record handling US and/or European buyers
✔️ Solid understanding of costing, materials, construction, and compliance/testing requirements
✔️ Strong vendor network across Indian manufacturing clusters
✔️ Excellent written and spoken English
✔️ Willingness to travel to factories as required
