Supplier Quality Engineer I

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer I to support Global Quality Excellence – Regulations & Standards across multiple operating units. This role focuses on supplier outreach, qualification documentation, and supplier controls, partnering with internal project teams and external suppliers to complete records according to company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Communicate with suppliers to gather, confirm, and follow up on required information and documentation.
Create and maintain supplier control records, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with company procedures.
Support supplier and sub-tier supplier qualification activities, including Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation.
Participate in cross-functional project teams and provide updates on assigned activities.
Track outstanding documentation and coordinate follow-up to support project timelines.
Identify documentation gaps and assist with improvements to supplier quality processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent international degree.
Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
Ability to work independently with general supervision and collaborate with project stakeholders.
Proactive, adaptable approach and strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Approximately 2+ years of relevant experience; candidates with less experience and strong applicable skills will also be considered.
Experience with supplier outreach, supplier controls, or supplier qualification.
Experience creating and executing PPAP documentation.
Familiarity with Windchill, MAP, or Agile.
