Senior Manager of IT & Business Systems

We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Senior Manager of IT & Business Systems to serve
as a key operational partner to leadership and drive enterprise systems and process
excellence across the company.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, finance, operations, sales, and business
transformation. The individual will own and optimize the company's ERP ecosystem, lead
cross-functional initiatives, and help scale the organization through thoughtful process
improvements and technology investments.
The ideal candidate combines deep ERP expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability
to translate technical concepts into practical solutions for stakeholders across the
organization. This individual will partner closely with leadership and serve as a trusted
extension of the team to drive operational effectiveness and support strategic initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
IT Vendor Management
• Manage relationships with outsourced IT providers and strategic technology partners.
• Coordinate issue resolution and ensure service quality.
• Partner with ERP consultants and subject matter experts to maintain continuity and
institutional knowledge.
Enterprise Systems Ownership
• Serve as the business owner for Sage X3 and related enterprise applications.
• Drive ERP enhancements, integration, reporting, and process improvements across
departments.
• Ensure system stability, scalability, and business continuity.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external resources to maximize the effectiveness
of business systems.
• Develop reporting and analytics capabilities leveraging SQL and related tools.
Cross-Functional Process Improvement
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Sales, and HR leaders to streamline processes and
improve organizational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and enhance business operations.
• Translate business requirements into scalable systems and process solutions.
Technology Strategy & Business Transformation
• Lead evaluations and implementations of future business applications and integrations.
• Support initiatives involving expense management, CRM, HRIS, reporting, and financial
planning systems.
• Assess opportunities to optimize platforms including Concur, Salesforce, TriNet, and
future finance and planning tools.
Leadership Partnership
• Serve as a trusted advisor and operational partner to senior leadership.
• Explain technical concepts in business-friendly language to stakeholders across the
organization.
• Provide recommendations that align technology investments with business objectives.
• Lead and manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic, growing environment.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related
discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in business systems, ERP, operations, consulting, or
related functions.
• Significant hands-on expertise with Sage X3, including administration, support, process
improvements, and integrations.
• Strong SQL proficiency with the ability to create reports, analyze data, and support
business decision-making.
• Experience leading ERP enhancements, implementations, or business process
improvement initiatives.
• Working knowledge of finance, accounting, operations, and sales processes.
• Experience managing third-party vendors and outsourced IT providers.
• Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and
translate complex topics into practical business solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, life sciences, or other operationally intensive
environments.
• Experience with Sage X3, Salesforce, Concur, TriNet, and financial planning or
reporting systems.
• Experience supporting enterprise application evaluations and system migrations.
• Background in consulting, business transformation, or business operations.
