About Shokuya
Shokuya imports and sells artisanal Japanese ingredients—shoyu, rice, matcha, tea, seasonings, and snacks. Launched commercially in March 2026, we sell direct-to-consumer at shokuya.com, and through a growing list of wholesale accounts across New York. We also sell matcha to cafes, which is a growing part of our business.
The role
You will grow Shokuya's wholesale business in the New York area. This is a hands-on, learn-by-doing role with a lot of room for growth.

• Set up tastings and meet with accounts
• Sell the full range of our products, follow up, and service our customers
• Service accounts: check stock, get reorders, introduce new SKUs, and set up in-store tastings
• Keep the pipeline, account list, and sell sheets up to date
• Help staff our table at markets and trade events
Qualifications
• 1–2 years of experience in food and beverage: retail, restaurant, hospitality, or a food brand. Sales experience is a plus, not a requirement
