Sr Analyst, HR People Analytics

The Sr Analyst, HR People Analytics partners with HR stakeholders to optimize processes, leverage technology, and drive data informed decision making. This role manages projects, supports system enhancements and upgrades, ensures data integrity, conducts testing and reporting, and identifies opportunities for process improvement and automation. Serving as a technical resource for assigned functional areas, the Sr Analyst analyzes workflows, recommends efficiencies, and leads projects from planning through implementation.
Manages projects and process improvement, including applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality.
Utilizes interpersonal skills when working with various customers and peers to accomplish project goals.
Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HRMS system upgrades or patches. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintains HRMS system tables. Documents process and results.
Provides production support, including researching and resolving complex HRMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
High school diploma required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Industrial-Organizational (I/O) Psychology.
Master’s preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience
Ability to sort, filter, and structure raw employee data using tools like Microsoft Excel or database query languages like SQL.
Knowing how to calculate key metrics (turnover, time-to-fill, engagement scores) and run regressions or basic statistical models.
Familiarity with coding languages like Python or R and text mining for sentiment analysis when dealing with complex employee feedback.
Building impactful dashboards and charts using tools like Tableau or Power BI to make data easy for leaders to read.
Translating dense statistical findings into simple, plain-language narratives that guide organizational action.
Understanding core HR functions like talent acquisition, performance management, and employee retention.
Asking the right business questions and challenging leadership assumptions with evidence rather than intuition.
Handling sensitive employee metrics with strict confidentiality and ethical oversight.
General office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time
