Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Back End Developer role based in Pune. The Back End Developer will build and maintain server-side components that power FreePDFWorld’s PDF processing tools, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability. Responsibilities include designing and implementing APIs, integrating with front-end services, managing databases, and optimizing application logic for high-traffic usage. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, writing clean and testable code, and participating in code reviews. The Back End Developer will collaborate closely with product, front-end, and operations teams to deliver secure, privacy-focused features and continuous improvements to the platform.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Back-End Web Development skills, including experience building RESTful APIs and working with server-side frameworks.
Candidates should possess Software Development skills with a focus on writing maintainable, testable code and working within modern development lifecycles.
Candidates should possess Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills and a solid understanding of design patterns and modular architecture.
Candidates should possess Programming skills in at least one major server-side language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Node.js, or similar).
Candidates should possess basic Front-End Development awareness to collaborate effectively with UI engineers and integrate APIs.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, query optimization, and data modeling is beneficial.
Familiarity with security best practices, encryption, and privacy-focused design for web applications is beneficial.
Experience with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud or container-based deployment environments is beneficial.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate in a diverse, inclusive team environment are essential.
