Role Description The crocheter role at crochet_loopandlove is a full-time, on-site position located in Udaipur. The crocheter will create a variety of handmade items, such as garments, accessories, home décor, and custom pieces, following established patterns and design specifications. Day-to-day tasks include selecting appropriate yarns and materials, counting stitches, maintaining consistent tension, finishing and assembling pieces, and ensuring products meet quality standards. The crocheter will collaborate with the design team on new patterns, provide input on product improvements, and help maintain an organized workspace and inventory of materials. The role may also involve preparing items for photography, packaging, and occasional interaction with customers or partners to understand custom requirements.
Qualifications
Strong crochet skills, including knowledge of basic and advanced stitches, pattern reading, and experience with different yarn weights and hooks.
Attention to detail and quality, with the ability to maintain consistent tension, accurate stitch counts, and precise finishing techniques.
Creative mindset with an interest in design, color coordination, and developing new patterns or variations on existing designs.
Good time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects, meet production deadlines, and maintain a clean, efficient workspace.
Ability to work on-site in Udaipur, collaborate positively with team members, and communicate clearly about project status and requirements.
Prior experience in handmade crafts, textile work, or artisan production is beneficial; a portfolio or samples of crochet work will be considered an advantage.
Basic understanding of social media or product presentation is a plus, especially for showcasing handmade items.
