Senior Technical SEO

About the Role
Vizion Interactive is looking for a Senior Technical SEO to lead search strategy for a portfolio of brands. You'll shape how our clients show up in both traditional and AI search, and help build the team and processes behind it. This is a senior role with real influence: you'll work directly with clients, developers, and leadership, and your input will shape how our SEO practice evolves.

Responsibilities
Strategy and Leadership
Drive holistic search strategy
Build and execute strategies for Search and visibility in AI-driven search (Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini)
Partner with management to build a world-class SEO discipline, including smart use of AI and automation in delivery
Technical SEO
Diagnose rendering and indexation issues on JavaScript sites (React/Next.js, Angular, Vue) and advise on rendering strategy (SSR, SSG, CSR, hydration)
Improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) in partnership with development teams
Implement structured data, XML sitemaps, canonicalization, and redirect strategy, especially at ecommerce scale
Manage Google Merchant Center feeds and optimization for free product listings in organic search and Shopping
Manage local listings and local SEO for multi-location brands across Google Business Profile, Bing Places, and Apple Business Connect
Assess CMS and headless CMS platforms and optimize within their constraints
Lead SEO through site migrations, replatforms, and redesigns
Provide clear requirements and implementation support to developers
Content and Research
Keyword and intent research, competitive analysis, content gap analysis, site architecture, and internal linking
Build topical and entity authority to support both rankings and AI citations
Direct copywriting strategy for client and Vizion Interactive projects, including oversight of AI-assisted content
Contribute thought leadership content on behalf of Vizion Interactive
Analytics and Client Management
Expert in GA4 and GTM setup, testing, and troubleshooting; comfortable with GSC data, APIs, and Looker Studio
Track recommendations against goals and report on organic and AI search performance
Lead client relationships, monthly calls, and reporting; help clients define ROI goals
Explain technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences
Support sales with strategy, proposals, scoping, and prospect presentations
Requirements
8+ years of SEO experience, including 7+ in technical SEO
Hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks (React/Next.js, Angular, Vue)
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Ecommerce experience, including large catalogs and faceted navigation
Experience with Merchant Center and multi-location local SEO
Proficient with Screaming Frog, GSC, BWT, GA4, Semrush, and Ahrefs
Extremely organized, detail oriented, and able to switch gears quickly
Good tenure and excellent references
