Clinical Specialist – Western Canada (Field-Based)

About The Role
As a Clinical Specialist in Western Canada, you will build trusted partnerships with patients, cochlear implant clinics, and hearing healthcare professionals by taking the time to understand their unique needs, goals, and challenges. Through a customer-focused approach, you will provide clinical expertise and tailored solutions that create value for healthcare professionals and improve patient outcomes, enabling individuals with cochlear implants to reach their full potential. Leveraging these insights, you will develop and execute strategic territory plans, using market analysis and targeted business development activities to grow the Advanced Bionics business across Western Canada, while adapting to an evolving healthcare landscape.
Travel: Approximately 50% or more.
Responsibilities:
Build trusted relationships with cochlear implant teams, including surgeons, audiologists, and community partners by understanding their unique needs, addressing challenges, and delivering solutions that create lasting value for patients and healthcare teams.
Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan to achieve or exceed business objectives by analyzing market opportunities, understanding customer needs and industry developments, identifying growth opportunities, and positioning Advanced Bionics solutions to expand market presence.
Manage territory performance through account planning, growth forecasting, customer business reviews, budget management, and prioritization of sales activities while adapting to changing market needs and taking ownership of business outcomes.
Strengthen clinical competency and clinic efficiency through engaging presentations, product demonstrations, and training on cochlear implant technology, best practices, and remote care resources.
Provide consultative support to healthcare professionals during recipient fittings, including programming guidance, objective measure testing, device integrity testing, and complex case support to help optimize patient outcomes.
More about you:
Master’s or Doctor of Audiology degree
Registered Audiologist in good standing with the applicable provincial regulatory body in Canada
Previous experience in medical devices, healthcare, or consultative sales is an asset.
Demonstrated integrity and a willingness to learn and apply consultative selling techniques that put patient needs first, foster trusted partnerships, and support sustainable business growth.
Results-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable navigating changing priorities while taking ownership of outcomes in an agile environment.
Strong proficiency in English, Microsoft Office, and clinical/technical software, with a valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
Additional Requirements: Must pass the Advanced Bionics Competency exam.

The base salary for this position is $80,990 CAD annually, plus an eligible performance-based commission opportunity of $93,500 CAD. Together, these components result in total on-target earnings of $174,490 CAD annually, with the potential to exceed target earnings when performance exceeds plan.
