About the opportunity
The IaaS Product team (Infrastructure as a Service) delivers secure, highly available infrastructure including Windows, Unix, VMware, Cloud IaaS and PaaS, Server and Storage. In this role, you’ll be providing excellent customer service while working in a team that builds tools and platforms for delivering Windows Servers services onsite and soon in the cloud.
The Platform Engineer - Windows' primary focus is operational and project work for management of Windows Servers, applications and Active Directory.
To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated IT professional with relevant qualifications and a background in supporting Windows Servers and Active Directory with a strong desire for continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities

About you
Demonstrated experience supporting a large enterprise Microsoft Windows environment
Demonstrated experience using Active Directory, Group Policy and SCCM.
Some experience in PowerShell scripting.
Programming and scripting skills applied to automation and solution development (Desirable).
Experience with cloud-based deployments and support (e.g., Azure, AWS) is well regarded.
Experience working in an Agile delivery environment is well regarded.
Software Development and /or DevOps skills are well regarded.
Availability to participate on the Windows on-call roster, approximately every 4-5 weeks, essential.
The occupant of this position will hold a relevant diploma or degree with at least 4 years' subsequent relevant experience.
Applicants must have unrestricted work rights for the duration of the appointment and may be subject to a criminal history check.
What we can offer
This is a full-time fixed term opportunity for 12 months, primarily based at the Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other locations.
Salary
HEW 7 - Base range - $104,504 - $113,219 + 17% superannuation. Total salary package range $122,270 - $132,466.
