Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Solar PV Engineer role based in Kochi. The Solar PV Engineer will design, review, and optimize solar photovoltaic systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Daily responsibilities include conducting site assessments, preparing detailed PV and electrical designs, performing energy yield calculations, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes. The role involves coordinating with project managers, procurement teams, and installation crews to support accurate bill of materials, technical documentation, and timely project execution. The engineer will also assist in troubleshooting system performance issues, preparing technical reports, and providing guidance on best practices in solar power and system integration.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong knowledge of the solar industry and practical experience with solar power projects.
Candidates should possess skills in solar systems design, layout, and performance analysis.
Candidates should possess expertise in PV design, including string sizing, inverter selection, and system configuration.
Candidates should possess capabilities in electrical design, including wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and protection schemes.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field.
Familiarity with relevant standards, codes, and safety practices for solar installations.
Proficiency with PV design and simulation software, and basic CAD tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Previous experience in solar PV projects in India or similar markets is an advantage.
