AI Forward-Deployed Engineer

This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.
Our client is a physician-owned healthcare group that buys practices and is splitting one parent brand into eight to ten specialty brands. The leadership team has built working prototypes that currently stop at pasted exports.
The company’s environment includes Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, HubSpot, QuickBooks Online across nine entities, an EMR, and an FP&A platform being implemented.
Role Overview
The AI Forward-Deployed Engineer will build the layer underneath existing prototypes, including where data lands, how it gets there, who can access it, and how it continues running when nobody is watching.
The role will work directly with the people who own the problems being addressed, including the M&A team, marketing lead, COO, CFO, and an outsourced IT provider. The first work will focus on M&A and marketing.

Key Responsibilities
M&A Tooling
Build the diligence data room where a seller uploads articles of incorporation, financials, and reports against a defined checklist.
Build the notification system that identifies when a data room is complete or stalling.
Build the target-analysis tool using a target practice’s financial and business information to produce the summary used by the deal team.
Support the target-identification tool that helps identify practice owners worth approaching.
Priority Tracker
Connect the priority tracker so meeting transcripts become tentative tasks.
Implement a human approval step before anything is added to the tracker.
Support the priority tracker as a department-agnostic tool used across the organization.
Brand Rollout & Asset Generation
Build a live brand rollout tracker covering eight to ten new specialty brands.
Track each brand against the items it needs, including name, logo, colour system, website, signage, patient-facing collateral, and ad creative.
Include an owner and status for every item.
Track what is blocking the launch of each brand.
Build the brand asset engine to generate ad and design creative at volume based on each brand’s guidelines.
Generate assets in the formats required by each channel.
Include human approval before anything is published.
Systems & Integrations
Build REST API integrations, including OAuth2 flows, pagination, rate limits, retries, and idempotency.
Work with the outsourced IT provider to obtain the required access without disrupting how the environment is run.
Work with Microsoft 365 as a platform, including Graph API, SharePoint document libraries, Power Automate, Entra ID app registrations, and permission scopes.
Use Git and a CI pipeline so tests run before things ship.
Development & Cloud Deployment
Write, review, and debug production code using Python or TypeScript.
Work with SQL, including schema design, joins, aggregation, window functions, and reconciling two sources that disagree.
Work with Postgres, SQL Server, or Azure SQL.
Build front ends using React or an equivalent technology.
Deploy to cloud environments, with Azure preferred, including App Service or Static Web Apps, Functions, Azure SQL, and Key Vault.
Apply transferable AWS or GCP experience where applicable.
LLM & Document Processing
Build with LLM APIs in production.
Work with structured JSON output against a schema, function or tool calling, chunking and retrieval over documents, and prompt versioning.
Process PDFs and spreadsheets at volume.
Use OCR where needed.
Extract structured fields from financial statements.
Use AI tooling as part of normal work while understanding where it should not be trusted.
Security
Apply secrets management and least-privilege service accounts.
Understand what information may not be logged.
Future Work
Work on the cash-flow forecast and intercompany reconciliation after the FP&A platform is live.
Qualifications
Experience
3+ years of experience building internal tools, integrations, or data plumbing, rather than only front-end work.
Experience writing, reviewing, and debugging production code using Python or TypeScript.
Experience with SQL.
Experience with REST API integrations.
Experience building front ends using React or an equivalent technology.
Cloud deployment experience, with Azure preferred.
Experience using Git and a CI pipeline.
Experience working with Microsoft 365 as a platform.
Experience building with LLM APIs in production.
Experience with document processing at volume.
Skills
Professional-level Python or TypeScript.
SQL skills covering schema design, joins, aggregation, window functions, and data reconciliation.
Experience with Postgres, SQL Server, or Azure SQL.
Knowledge of OAuth2 flows, pagination, rate limits, retries, and idempotency.
Ability to build front ends using React or an equivalent technology.
Experience with Azure App Service or Static Web Apps, Functions, Azure SQL, and Key Vault.
Experience with Microsoft Graph API, SharePoint document libraries, Power Automate, Entra ID app registrations, and permission scopes.
Experience with structured JSON output against a schema, function or tool calling, document chunking and retrieval, and prompt versioning.
Experience with PDF and spreadsheet parsing, OCR where needed, and extracting structured fields from financial statements.
Knowledge of secrets management and least-privilege service accounts.
Ability to work from a written specification without a senior engineer and identify when the specification is wrong.
Ability to explain technical decisions to a CFO in plain language.
Ability to ship something small in the first week rather than designing for a quarter.
Experience using AI tooling as part of normal work and understanding where it should not be trusted.
Nice to Have
Experience with M&A tooling, including data rooms, deal pipelines, and document collection.
Healthcare exposure, including an EMR such as eClinicalWorks, Epic, or Athena, or practice-management and revenue-cycle data.
Experience with document extraction and summarization at volume, including financial statements, contracts, and reports.
Experience with multi-entity finance.
Experience with creative or marketing operations at volume, including digital asset management, brand systems, or generating campaign creative in multiple sizes and formats.
Experience with Meta or Google ad platform APIs and their asset specifications.
Experience with marketing systems such as HubSpot, a CMS, or website tooling for multi-brand environments.
Experience working inside a HIPAA boundary.

The AI Forward-Deployed Engineer will sit with the people who own the problems being addressed, including the M&A team, marketing lead, COO, and CFO. The first 90 days will focus on M&A tooling and the marketing build-out. Once the FP&A platform is live, work will later include the cash-flow forecast and intercompany reconciliation.
