Business Development Executive (Mandarin Speaker)

• Identify and reach out to prospective clients (SMEs, corporates, and partners) who could benefit from our insurance solutions
• Build and manage a pipeline of leads through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, events, and referrals
• Qualify leads and set up meetings for senior sales team members to close
• Support the preparation of proposals, quotations, and pitch materials
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of leads and activity in our CRM
• Represent PolicyStreet at industry events, roadshows, and partner meetings when needed
• Hit monthly and quarterly targets for outreach activity and qualified meetings booked
Requirements
• 0–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a client-facing role (fresh graduates with the right drive are welcome to apply)
• Comfortable with cold outreach, ie: calls, emails, and DMs don't intimidate you
• Strong communication skills in English; Bahasa Malaysia is a plus, and Mandarin/Cantonese is a bonus for reaching a wider client base
• Organised and disciplined about following up, you don't let leads go cold
• Curious about insurance and financial services, or willing to get there fast
• Resilient; you're fine with hearing “no” and moving on to the next conversation
