About The Role
We're looking for mechanical engineering experts to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models being developed with the world's leading AI research labs. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex engineering problems — from fluid dynamics to finite element analysis.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your own schedule and work as much or as little as fits your life.

What You'll Do
Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced mechanical engineering problems across domains like FEA, heat transfer, thermodynamics, kinematics, and material science to rigorously test AI performance
Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write clear, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation
Audit AI Reasoning — Review AI-generated outputs including CAD logic, thermodynamic proofs, and material specifications for accuracy, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (ASME, ISO, etc.)
Improve AI Thinking — Identify logical errors in AI reasoning — such as incorrect force distributions or energy conservation violations — and provide structured feedback to sharpen model performance
Who You Are
Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field
Strong foundational knowledge in one or more of: solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing processes
Able to communicate complex technical concepts and physical phenomena clearly in writing
Highly precise — you catch errors in mathematical derivations, unit conversions, and physical system constraints
No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or technical review workflows
Familiarity with engineering software such as SolidWorks, MATLAB, or ANSYS
Background in academic or professional technical writing
