Neuroscience Research Advisor - Al & Mental Well-being

🧠 Zenark is looking for a Neuroscience & AI Research Advisor
We are building Zenark at the intersection of mental well-being, behavioral science, education and artificial intelligence.
Now, we want to bring neuroscience into that intersection.
We are looking for a Neuroscience & AI Research Advisor to join Zenark's scientific/advisory committee and help us push the boundaries of how we understand human behavior, cognition, emotional well-being and learning.
This is not a conventional clinical role.
You will work with our AI, research and product teams to translate neuroscience and cognitive science into scientifically grounded approaches for products used by students and young people.
What you will work on
• Advise Zenark's AI and research teams on relevant neuroscience and cognitive science literature.
• Help us understand the neuroscience underlying attention, learning, memory, motivation, reward, stress, emotional regulation, sleep and decision-making.
• Contribute to the scientific framework behind our AI-based mental-wellbeing and academic-support systems.
• Help evaluate whether proposed interventions, features and behavioral models have a sound scientific basis.
• Identify emerging research at the intersection of neuroscience × AI × behavioral science × mental health.
• Help formulate research questions and potential studies that can expand our understanding of adolescent and young-adult well-being.
• Contribute to scientific literature reviews, research protocols, manuscripts, white papers and potentially academic collaborations.
• Work with our AI team to explore how computational models can better represent human cognition and behavior.
• Help identify opportunities where neuroscience can lead to new product capabilities, rather than simply validating existing ones.
• Participate in Zenark's scientific/advisory discussions and help shape the long-term research direction of the company.
Who we're looking for
We are particularly interested in people with backgrounds in:

📊 Neuropsychology / behavioral science
🤖 Computational psychiatry or related fields
🔬 Neuroscience + AI / machine learning
You may be a good fit if you have
• A PhD, MD, MSc, MPhil or equivalent research experience in neuroscience, cognitive science, neuropsychology, computational neuroscience or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of scientific methodology and evidence evaluation.
• Experience reading and interpreting primary research literature.
• An interest in applying neuroscience beyond the laboratory.
• Familiarity with AI/ML, computational methods or digital health is highly valuable, but not mandatory.
• Curiosity about the intersection of brain, behavior, technology and education.
• The ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to multidisciplinary teams.

Zenark is not looking to put neuroscience into a presentation and leave it there.
