Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Manager Business Development role based in Bengaluru. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities in the bio/pharmaceutical and related sectors, building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients, and promoting Vimta’s research and testing services. The Assistant Manager will engage in lead generation, prospect qualification, preparation of proposals, and coordination of client presentations and meetings. The role includes close collaboration with scientific, operational, and regulatory teams to align client requirements with service offerings and ensure accurate communication of capabilities. The position also requires tracking market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance metrics to support strategic planning and revenue growth.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess skills in market research, data analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making and performance tracking.
Candidates should possess organizational and time management skills to handle multiple accounts, proposals, and follow-ups efficiently.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant experience in business development or sales within CRO, pharma, biotech, or healthcare services is highly beneficial.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional scientific and operational teams and to work with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools, along with a willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as required.
