AllChrono is building the new industry standard for the $15B luxury watch. We will be the first to take the global market with blockchain-verified passports, escrow-secured trades, GCC-anchored (Saudi based startup) with complete end-to-end infrastructure integration. We're a small, senior founding team, and we're hiring the lead engineer who will own the application layer end-to-end and grow the team around it.
This is a founding technical leadership role, reporting directly to the CTO. You won't be a ticket queue or a layer of middle management; you'll be the person who sets the bar, makes the calls, and ships alongside the team you build.

This is a fulltime position.
Compensation: full-time range is 150,000 BDT - 300,000 BDT depending on your skills and experience level. We are flexible for the right candidate.
We will have meetings in BD time evening or early morning
What you have (required):
12+ years of native android production engineering, with the last 6+ in a senior or lead capacity where you owned an application layer at a real company (not your own project). But you have always been hands on, not just managing. Not applicable for hybrid applications. Strictly native android.
Deep android and kotlin expertise: Jetpack Compose, Android architecture components, coroutines, app lifecycle, concurrency, and mobile architecture.
Strong understanding of secure mobile development: Android Keystore, biometrics, token storage, certificate pinning considerations, rooted device risk, and privacy.
Strong product instincts and attention to detail, especially around premium UX.
Extremely good at architectural judgement without over complicating.
Ruthless in code review: you have OCD in making sure everything is correct
AI native setup: You have worked when you had to painfully write code and debug line by line and now you have an AI heavy setup where you can operate to your fullest (not use it as a crutch)
BSc in computer science from a top university in your country
Nice to have:
iOS experience
Node/NestJS exposure
Who you are:
You set engineering standards, not lower them.
You obsess over writing good but lean test cases.
Your code review takes time (line by line - not just "looks good")
You own what you ship and approve; regardless how you code - you take responsibility.
You make and defend decisions, not just go with the flow of everyone. You disagree with the team and the CTO sometimes on technical level and bring your own opinion.
You are ethical, have high morals, responsible, respectful of your team-members.
Things to keep in mind:
We are building a small, competent and agile team. This is not the place where we will be happy with our subpar work. We deeply understand and care about the quality of the work we produce.
We are well-funded GCC startup (Saudi based). We will operate with light deadlines. Plus points if you have worked in a early stage startup before.
There is no long onboarding, be prepared to hit the ground running.

Round 1: Take home exercise (You write code or use AI to complete - up to you. We try to test how we would work daily at our job; not coding exercise.)
