Role Description The Article Trainee (CA) will support the firm’s professional team in day-to-day assignments related to audit, taxation, and accounting. Responsibilities include assisting in statutory and tax audits, preparing working papers and documentation, and supporting compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations. The role involves maintaining books of accounts, preparing financial statements, performing basic reconciliations, and helping with filing returns and other regulatory forms. The trainee will also conduct research on accounting, tax, and regulatory matters and assist in drafting reports, summaries, and client communication. This is a full-time, on-site role located at the firm’s office in Mumbai, requiring regular coordination with seniors and partners and adherence to professional standards and deadlines.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (registered with ICAI) and eligible for articleship.
Strong foundation in accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial statement preparation.
Basic knowledge of direct and indirect taxation, including income tax, GST, and related compliance.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with accounting/tax software is an advantage.
Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret financial and tax information.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and client-focused approach.
Ability to work diligently under supervision, manage multiple assignments, and meet timelines.
Ethical mindset, willingness to learn, and commitment to the full articleship tenure.
