About The Role
The Human Resources Analyst - Generalist at University Health plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive HR support across various functional areas. This position is responsible for providing professional consultation, data analysis, and operational services to support recruitment, compensation, employee benefits, workforce compliance, and strategic HR initiatives. The role requires a proactive approach to partnering with leaders and employees to ensure HR solutions are responsive, data-driven, and aligned with organizational goals. The analyst will utilize HRIS systems, reporting tools, and analytics to identify trends, improve operational efficiency, and support informed decision-making processes.
This role involves interpreting and applying HR policies, coordinating recruitment activities, conducting compensation analyses, assisting with benefits programs, and managing unemployment processes. The Human Resources Analyst - Generalist will participate in special projects to enhance HR practices, promote employee engagement, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment while developing professional expertise in human resources management.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required. Candidates should possess a minimum of one year of experience in human resources or a related area. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, along with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Knowledge of HRIS systems, employment laws, and benefits administration is preferred. The ideal candidate demonstrates a proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Responsibilities
The Human Resources Analyst - Generalist at University Health will be responsible for a variety of key functions, including:
Providing recruitment support throughout the hiring process by partnering with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, coordinating recruitment activities, assisting with candidate selection, and ensuring compliance with recruitment policies. Maintaining recruitment metrics, participating in recruiting events, and promoting a positive candidate experience are vital components of this responsibility.
Performing compensation analysis by evaluating internal equity, market data, and salary recommendations to support recruitment, retention, promotions, and organizational initiatives. Assisting with job description development, salary surveys, and interpreting compensation policies while ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Providing analytical support for employee benefit programs, including health benefits, retirement plans, and voluntary offerings. Assisting employees with benefit inquiries, enrollments, qualifying life events, and coordinating with vendors. Supporting benefit audits, reporting, compliance activities, and annual enrollment processes to ensure effective administration.
Coordinating activities related to unemployment claims and workforce compliance by responding to requests from the Texas Workforce Commission, gathering documentation, and monitoring claim activity. Partnering with department leaders to ensure timely responses and maintaining knowledge of applicable state regulations to minimize unemployment liability.
Supporting strategic HR initiatives by participating in cross-functional projects involving HRIS, analytics, employee engagement, and operational excellence. Contributing to the development and implementation of HR processes that enhance organizational effectiveness.
Performing other duties as assigned to support the overall HR functions and organizational goals.
