Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales role based in Mumbai. The Sales Champion will identify and qualify prospects, conduct outbound calls and follow-ups, and build relationships with corporate clients across multiple industries to promote IBC’s conferences, workshops, and training programs. Daily responsibilities include understanding client needs, presenting appropriate training and event solutions, preparing proposals, and negotiating and closing sales to meet and exceed revenue targets. The role also involves maintaining an accurate sales pipeline, collaborating with marketing and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery, and providing feedback on market trends and client preferences. The Sales Champion will be expected to manage time effectively, attend meetings and events as required, and represent IBC with professionalism.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, and closing deals.
Client relationship management and account management abilities, with a focus on consultative selling.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
Basic proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and online communication platforms.
Proven ability to work toward ambitious targets, prioritize tasks, and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in B2B sales, events, training, or conferencing industries is an advantage.
Comfort working with diverse clients across sectors and openness to continuous learning about industry trends.
