Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Territory Sales Officer for Retail Distribution in Construction Chemicals and Tile Adhesive, based in the Pune Division and covering Pune and Kolhapur markets. The role involves managing and expanding retail distribution networks, identifying and onboarding new channel partners, and driving sales growth for construction chemical and tile adhesive products. Responsibilities include regular market visits, retailer and distributor engagement, product demonstrations, tracking competitor activities, and ensuring adequate stock availability and visibility at retail outlets. The Territory Sales Officer will collaborate with internal teams for demand planning, promotional activities, and customer support, while preparing timely sales reports and forecasts. The role requires maintaining strong relationships with trade partners and ensuring compliance with company policies and pricing guidelines.
Qualifications
Strong distribution management skills, with experience in handling retail and channel networks.
Proven sales and channel sales capabilities, including target achievement and territory expansion.
Background in sales management and business development within building materials, construction chemicals, or related sectors.
Good communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with retailers, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work in the field, conduct regular market visits, and respond quickly to market opportunities and challenges.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant diploma with strong experience may be considered.
Working knowledge of MS Office and basic sales reporting tools; familiarity with CRM or sales tracking systems is an advantage.
Local market knowledge of Pune and Kolhapur, and proficiency in English and regional languages will be beneficial.
