Role Description The Senior Electrical Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Barnala. The person in this role will lead the design, review, and implementation of electrical systems for silo and related industrial projects, including power distribution, control panels, and automation interfaces. Daily responsibilities include preparing and checking electrical drawings and calculations, coordinating with mechanical and civil teams, overseeing installation and commissioning activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and safety standards. The Senior Electrical Engineer will troubleshoot electrical issues on site, optimize power usage, mentor junior engineers and technicians, and support vendor and client interactions as required.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering and Electricity fundamentals, with a solid understanding of industrial applications.
Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design for industrial facilities, including creating schematics, layouts, and technical documentation.
Candidates should possess skills in Power Distribution and Power Systems, including load calculations, protection schemes, and system reliability.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Several years of hands-on experience in industrial or plant-based electrical engineering, preferably in storage, manufacturing, or similar environments.
Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.
Ability to lead projects, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior staff.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proficiency in common electrical design software and MS Office tools.
