RHCSA Certified Linux Engineer — Course Content Developer (Contract/Freelance)
Job Title: RHCSA-Certified Linux Systems Engineer — Technical Course Author & Instructor
About the Role
We're building a hands-on RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) training course and need a subject-matter expert who has actually earned the certification to design, write, and record it. You'll own the curriculum end-to-end: lesson content, step-by-step tutorials, bash scripting labs, and narrated code-snippet walkthroughs that prepare learners to pass the RHCSA exam and work confidently on RHEL systems in production.
This is a content-creation role, not a support or sysadmin role — we're looking for someone who can teach and design and build RHEL (Not Ubuntu) labs.
THIS IS A CONTRACT!
Responsibilities
Design a complete RHCSA course curriculum aligned to the current Red Hat exam objectives (EX200)
Must be able to build out RH104, RH124 and RH134 Content in clear English, not Naija Pidgin.
Write clear, technically accurate lesson content and tutorials covering topics such as: user/group management, file permissions & ACLs, storage (LVM, partitions, filesystems), networking (nmcli, firewalld), SELinux, systemd services, package management (dnf/rpm), boot process/GRUB, containers (Podman), and shell scripting
Build original, working bash shell scripts for every hands-on lab and exercise
Record narrated screen-capture video/code-snippet demos showing commands executed and explained in real time
Create practice exams, quizzes, and troubleshooting scenarios that mirror the real RHCSA testing format (performance-based, not multiple choice)
Keep all content current with the latest supported RHEL release
Review and revise content based on learner feedback and pass-rate data
Deliverables
Full written course modules (text + diagrams as needed)
Downloadable bash scripts for every lab
Recorded video walkthroughs with clean audio and screen capture
Practice/mock exam set with solutions
Qualifications
Required:
Current, active RHCSA certification (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) — must be independently verifiable via the candidate's LinkedIn profile "Licenses & Certifications" section, showing certification number and issue date consistent with Red Hat's certification records
Demonstrated hands-on production experience administering RHEL or Rocky Linux systems
Strong bash scripting ability — comfortable writing scripts from scratch, not just running canned commands
Prior experience creating technical documentation, tutorials, or training content (course platforms, YouTube, internal wikis, etc.)
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills — this is a teaching role, clarity matters as much as correctness
Comfortable being recorded on camera/screen-capture for instructional video
Preferred:
RHCSA (Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator 9+) or RHCE
Prior experience as an instructor, technical trainer, or course creator (Udemy, A Cloud Guru, Pluralsight, KodeKloud, etc.)
Experience with Ansible, Podman/containers, or SELinux hardening
Familiarity with Linux Based video editing / screen-recording tools (OBS Studio, Kooha, Simple ScreenRecorder, GPU Screen Recorder, etc.)
