We’re Hiring! Drayage Dispatch Team Members Needed
Syndicate Cargo Inc is expanding our operations in California, and we are looking for experienced, driven professionals to join our drayage dispatch team. If you have a background in logistics, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want a consistent, rewarding role, we want to hear from you!
Position Overview
* Role: Drayage Dispatcher / Operations Specialist
* Location: Port of Oakland, California (Remote option available)
* Schedule: Consistent 5-day work week with steady, ongoing freight volume.
* Work Style: Easygoing yet independent—we empower our team to take ownership of their daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate daily drayage dispatches, tracking container movements efficiently to and from local ports and rail yards.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with drivers, clients, and brokers to maximize fleet utilization.
* Manage driver schedules to ensure timely pickups and deliveries while complying with hours-of-service regulations.
* Proactively resolve any transit, routing, or scheduling roadblocks.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years of experience in freight sales, dispatching, or logistics management.
* Strong understanding of port drayage operations, container tracking, and local lane economics.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while staying organized under pressure.
* Proficiency with modern dispatch software, load boards, and digital communication tools.
