Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Developer with 10+ years of strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Forms, PL/SQL, triggers, views, and stored procedures. The candidate will design, develop, and maintain database-driven applications, and will also build RESTful APIs on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to expose EBS data and processes to external systems. Working knowledge of Oracle EBS internals is a strong plus. The candidate will work closely with functional teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements, develop technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the stability and performance of applications.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL code — stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, views, and other database objects.
• Design and build RESTful APIs on Oracle EBS (e.g., using Oracle REST Data Services / ORDS or EBS Integrated SOA Gateway) to expose EBS data and business logic to external and downstream applications.
• Develop and support integrations between the database/EBS layer and external applications or systems.
• Where working within Oracle EBS, customize technical components such as concurrent programs, value sets, flexfields, alerts, workflows, and interfaces (good to have).
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performance problems, and technical defects.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, including technical specifications, test cases, and deployment documents.
• Work closely with functional consultants, business users, and other technical teams.
• Provide technical support for existing modules and customizations.
• Assist with upgrades, patches, migrations, and enhancement activities as required.
• Monitor application/query performance and recommend technical improvements.
Required Technical Skills (Must-Have)
• 10+ years of strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL — stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Forms development and customization.
• Hands-on experience designing and building RESTful APIs on Oracle EBS (ORDS / EBS Integrated SOA Gateway or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of SQL performance tuning and database optimization.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
Good to Have / Preferred Skills
• Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) is a plus
• Functional exposure to one or more Oracle EBS modules: Financials (AP, AR, GL, FA), Supply Chain (PO, Inventory, Order Management), Manufacturing, Projects, or HRMS.
• Knowledge of Oracle EBS technical components — concurrent programs, concurrent requests, value sets, flexfields, alerts, workflows, and interfaces.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Exposure to SOAP APIs and third-party integrations.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
