YouTube Content & Production Associate – Part Time

Role Overview
FocusU is building a YouTube presence specifically to strengthen visibility in Google's AI Overviews and other answer-engine results (AEO). This role is 100% production execution — scripting, filming/generating, editing, and publishing videos based on topic briefs supplied by the SEO team. Your job is to turn each brief into a well-produced, AEO-structured video, consistently and on schedule.
What You Will Actually Be Doing
Receiving topic/target-question briefs from the SEO team and turning them into scripts that directly and clearly answer the target question early in the video
Recording or AI-generating video content (talking-head, screen capture, voiceover-and-visuals, or similar formats as directed)
Editing videos using tools like CapCut, Descript, or AI video tools, using Claude and MCP-connected tools to speed up scripting and editing workflows
Writing accurate, clean captions/transcripts for every video (non-negotiable — this is core to why the channel exists)
Writing titles and descriptions that mirror the target search question's phrasing, as specified in the SEO brief
Designing thumbnails
Publishing on schedule and maintaining an organized content archive/tracker
Flagging to the SEO team or Marketing Lead when a brief is unclear, incomplete, or needs more detail before it can be scripted
Skills Required
Comfort with video editing tools and willingness to learn AI-assisted video/content tools
Strong written English — scripting clear, direct answers is the core skill here, more than production polish
Comfort setting up and troubleshooting tools independently (Claude, MCP connectors, editing software)
Attention to detail — accurate captions and precise title/description phrasing matter more in this role than creative flair
Nice-to-have: any prior video editing or content creation experience, personal or otherwise
