Job Overview
Advanced Structures India is looking for Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) to join our Cost Engineering team. The role involves learning and supporting Should Costing, VA/VE, manufacturing process analysis, and supplier cost benchmarking for automotive and industrial components.
Key Responsibilities
Support Should Cost Estimation and cost breakdown analysis.
Understand drawings, BOMs, materials, manufacturing processes, and cost drivers.
Assist in process-based costing, supplier quote comparison, and VA/VE activities.
Analyse material, labour, machine, tooling, cycle time, scrap, and overhead costs.
Prepare Excel-based costing sheets and reports.
Work closely with Costing Engineers and Project Leads.
Mechanical Candidates
Basic knowledge of processes such as:
Casting
Forging
Machining
Injection Moulding
Sheet Metal / Fabrication / Stamping
Electrical Candidates
Knowledge of PCB and Wiring Harness is mandatory.
Candidates should understand:
PCB components and assemblies
Wiring harnesses
Wires, cables, connectors, and terminals
Electrical BOMs and electro-mechanical components
Required Skills
Good analytical and numerical skills
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Ability to understand engineering drawings/BOMs
Strong learning attitude and attention to detail
Good communication and documentation skills
