This position is remote for candidates in Central Eastern Europe or the Balkans. We are only considering candidates from The greater Balkan area.
We are looking for an skilled and motivated Sr. Application Engineer - BESS (m/f/x) to join our team in a full-time, remote role. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing energy storage solutions.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing RFx, tender documents, and customer requirements to prepare comprehensive technical proposal packages.
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for system sizing, simulations, and bid package preparation.
Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from development to commissioning.
Traveling up to 20% (domestic and international) as needed for customer meetings, site visits, industry events, and partner collaborations.
Qualifications:
Strong expertise in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Power Conversion Systems (PCS), Energy Management Systems (EMS) or grid integration.
4–7 years of relevant experience in the energy storage or power systems industry.
PCS experience is highly preferred.
Proficiency in simulating BESS and hybrid systems for sizing and performance optimization.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
Business fluent English skills required. Other European languages (e.g. Romanian, Bulgarian or Hungarian) or Chinese would be considered a major plus.
