About YRSD Games
YRSD Games is a game development and publishing studio focused on building original games for PC and global audiences.
We are currently expanding our Cashflow Division and are looking for a Junior Unreal Engine Developer to join the development team working on our upcoming PC game, Between Jobs: Fixer Sim.
This is an opportunity to work on a real commercial game project and contribute directly to production.
About the Project
Between Jobs: Fixer Sim is a simulation game where players run their own repair business, take repair jobs, interact with customers, repair different electronic devices, manage their business, and explore a semi-open world.
The project is being developed using Unreal Engine.
Responsibilities
As a Junior Unreal Engine Developer, you will:
Develop gameplay systems and features using Unreal Engine.
Work with Blueprints and/or C++ depending on the assigned task.
Implement gameplay mechanics based on technical and design specifications.
Work on player interactions, systems, UI integrations and game mechanics.
Implement and modify existing game systems.
Debug and fix gameplay and technical issues.
Test your implementations and identify bugs.
Collaborate with Game Designers, Artists and other Developers.
Participate in development discussions and milestone planning.
Maintain clean, organised and understandable project code/Blueprints.
Document important technical implementations when required.
Follow development specifications and production standards.
Requirements
Must Have:
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Unreal Engine 5.
Understanding of Blueprints.
Basic knowledge of C++ is preferred.
Understanding of gameplay programming fundamentals.
Basic understanding of Unreal Engine systems and workflows.
Ability to debug and troubleshoot problems independently.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and work on a production game.
Good to Have
Experience with Unreal Engine game projects.
Personal, academic or portfolio game projects.
Knowledge of Unreal Engine C++.
Experience with gameplay systems.
Understanding of UI/UMG.
Basic understanding of optimisation and performance.
Git/version-control experience.
Experience working with structured game-development workflows.
