We are seeking a Database Administrator Intern to learn and understand current systems, architectures, integrations, and technologies and how they interact within the data services framework. You will assist non-production and production database environments, data integration solutions and data warehouse environments and find solutions.
Responsibilities
Design and maintenance of logical and physical databases.
Mirroring, SQL Reporting, Backups / Restores / Failovers.
Performance tuning, optimization, stored procedures, triggers.
Participate in data modeling (Conceptual/Logical/Physical) and other data initiatives addressing both new and existing systems.
Work closely with developers to provide data services to existing and new applications.
ETL (extract, transform and load) design, development, and support for moving large data volumes from various sources into the various destinations after significant cleansing, transformation, and processing.
Participate in requirements definition, analysis, and design of data related solutions.
Create complex reports using SQL Server Reporting and Analysis Services.
Participate in business process improvement.
Publish and communicate models to IT and business unit teams.
Ensure confidentiality of company information.
Build on your personal knowledge base through continued education and training.
Qualifications
Working towards a four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Management Information Systems.
Familiarity with Data Architecture concepts and standards.
Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) concepts and standards.
Experience with SQL.
Strong Analytical Skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, remote position, on first shift for summer 2027.
