Senior Supply Planner

The Opportunity:
As a Senior Supply Planner, you will play a key role in driving supply readiness and ensuring product availability across our worldwide markets.
Working closely with OEM vendors and cross-functional stakeholders, you will oversee supply, inventory and capacity planning, proactively address supply risks, and drive actions to support on-time delivery and optimize inventory. You will also have the opportunity to influence vendor performance, contribute to supply planning improvements, and mentor junior team members while gaining broad exposure across the global supply chain.
What Your Impact Will Be:
Provide Supply Response for Worldwide Markets’ demands
Partner with OEM vendors to commit their best schedules to meet Markets’ NTP
Review and verify if vendors’ schedules comply to Mattel Planning Rules
Maintain ship plan by Markets based on agreed Vendors’ schedules and Mattel Planning Rules
Direct Import Order Management
Work with Vendors to provide response to meet Order Inquires from DI customers on daily basis
Review reason codes for un-met Order Inquires and seek opportunities to improve committed schedules
Inventory Management
Review and verify if vendors’ schedules are aligned with Mattel Pre-build rules and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet Markets’ demands while minimizing excess stock
Verify and manage Material Authorization to support New Toy Development and Mass Productions
Verify and validate EME (Excessive Material Exposure) claims from Vendors to ensure Mattel Inventory Policy are applied
Perform onsite physical EME audit if necessary
Monitor critical material supplies to support production plan
Capacity Management
Oversees vendor’s capacity to meet the annual forecast
Develop optimal annual production plan without too much inventory
Identify and escalate capacity issue and drive actions
Monitor vendor’s worker status
Monitoring Supply Status and Communication
Monitor inspection, production and shipment status to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues related to delays, development and quality concerns
Communicate to Worldwide Markets and Customer Service Department for supply issues and provide response to Worldwide Markets’ inquires on supply issues
Others
Mentor and guide junior supply planning staff, providing training and support as needed.
Perform analysis and participate projects to improve supply planning process and efficiency
Prepare reports and Track KPIs and monitor vendor performance
Handle Ad-hoc requests and reports
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
5+ years of experience in supply planning, manufacturing, inventory management, or a similar role, preferably in the toy or consumer goods industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in advanced supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tableau) and data analysis tools.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a dynamic environment.
Good command in both spoken and written English (be able to communicate in Mandarin is an advantage)
