Raw material procurement - Area Incharge

Key Responsibilities - Raw Material Procurement
Manage end-to-end procurement of key raw materials including Iron Ore, Pellets, Dolomite, Limestone, Quick Lime, Non-Coking Coal, and DRI Wash Coal in coordination with user departments and the Central Procurement Cell (CPC).
Identify, evaluate, develop, and maintain relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
Conduct supplier assessments and audits, and manage long-term supplier contracts to enhance procurement efficiency and compliance.
Lead commercial and strategic sourcing initiatives, including negotiation of pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
Implement cost optimization and value-engineering strategies to achieve procurement savings and improve operational efficiency.Coordinate with user departments, logistics teams, and CPC to ensure supply continuity while maintaining optimum inventory levels.
Ensure adherence to procurement policies, quality standards, statutory requirements, and internal compliance guidelines.
Monitor inventory, logistics, and material movement to support smooth plant operations and prevent supply disruptions.
Maintain vendor databases, analyze procurement data, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making.
Prepare and present procurement MIS reports, dashboards, and performance insights to management for informed decision-making.
