As an Offensive Security Researcher, you will be tasked with proactively researching the newest and most sophisticated attack techniques and working closely with some of the best security researchers in the industry to shape the future of cyber security. You will bring curiosity, persistence, and a drive to leave no stone unturned in the search for the next bypass.
What Will You Do?
Primary responsibilities include:
Proactively research and deeply understand the internals of the newest and most sophisticated attack techniques, and emulate these attacks to assess and improve detection engines.
Build tools to support detection assessments, create proofs of concept for the newest techniques and exploits, and develop automation flows to automate unconventional attacks and offensive frameworks.
Work closely with the Threat Intelligence team and the research and engineering detection teams to provide guidance and highlight gaps in detection and visibility capabilities.
What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?
Ideal candidates will have:
Multiple years of experience in red teaming, security research, or offensive research, with a deep understanding of OS internals (Windows and, preferably, Linux).
Hands-on experience coding in Python and C/C++.
Deep understanding of the malware world, including how malware operates, well-known malware families, and evasion and exploitation techniques.
Experience in malware analysis, both static and dynamic, and reverse engineering (x86/x64) is an advantage.
Understanding of existing antivirus internals is an advantage.
Experience writing detection signatures is an advantage.
